Discover a true and better you!
Life happens. Ups and Downs. And with each experience, we have the opportunity to discover a more true and better version of ourselves.
"So how do we better discover ourselves, during a down time?".. Well, here's a thought:
Let's say you're having a down time, a negative experience. Perhaps due to an occurrence with a specific individual or circumstance... Say a hurtful word or action has come about, or maybe a stressful environment has started to develop around you... The first step would be to simply acknowledge the experience, then absorb only what you don't need or like from it, and finally let the rest of the experience pass you by... Seems easy, right?!
What you don't want to do is absorb the reason behind the occurrence, which is what many of us tend to do. The reason for not doing this is because it's the one aspect that is out of our control, and is not our burden to carry. Again, you only want to focus on (absorb) what can be controlled, the realization of what you don't need or like from the experience... It's that simple!
With practice, this process should become easier, and soon even automatic... You no longer will be confused by taking on or carrying outside problems and issues, which is not you! You instead will become much clearer in mind of who you are, and to what you stand for... There is no better gift than to give oneself understanding and self-awareness... With this, you will become a true and better you!
